Great video. I'm in my second year of gardening and tomatoes have become my favorite. I find myself in search of my favorite tomato to grow as well. I'm growing at least over 40 varieties this year, I can't wait to see how things go! Can't wait to see what other ones you might add to this list in the future!

I've used each one of these tips with success. But every one of them is short-lived. Between the water and the intense heat where I live, the various options break down quickly, and I'm having to constantly reapply/retape. What I'm a bit surprised to find is that nobody is trying to build a water moat around the base of the tree. I'm envisioning a half-pipe (cut length-wise) in a complete circle around the trunk, and filled with water. Style points awarded for digging it into the soil. In my case, it would be kept filled with water from my irrigation system. Does anybody see why this wouldn't work? Every google search attempt for "water moat to prevent ants on fruit trees" is disappointing.

This is good advice, but my local mom and pop nursery sell their seedlings for $4.00 which is just slightly less than Bonnie at the big box stores, and I got a few plants from Home Depot. I think it's Bonnie that charges so much because the other brand being sold at Home Depot was about $2.00 and change for each plant. I used to see those big Basil plants at Kroger but haven't in over a year. They've discontinued alot of items. I've never seen them at Walmart. I have some basil right now that were some of the plants I bouht from Home Depot but it always seems to wilt and die off. ettin cuttins to row big is a struggle too. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or if many varieties are just not that hardy. I wish I could get it to grow nice big branches like I see others do.

Do you have a filter and pressure regulator at your head end? Everything I see indicates that it's important to filtered out particulate matter, and also important not to over pressurize things.

Really awesome guide in Hawaii Walmart is also the spot to get early on citrus. Home depot and Lowes have citrus but it's way more expensive...like 300$+ big established plants but Walmart has various 20$ plants I'm guessing about a year. So far I have a a Mexican lime from home depot was way less than the other trees I think it's not grafted or something but it's doing good was like 44$ amd I biked it back thorns got me alot even through my duffel bag...the Walmart ones fit in my backpack and are in the same self watering pot as you reccomend but a size smaller like around 4 $ each love how all in with Walmart you can get started with citrus under 30$ about if you add soil... but yeah I got two mandarin one golden Tahoe the other I forgot ... 1 alien lemon and a calamsi I started from seed... some are also in mixed planters with herbs and the lime tree has some jade succulents and clover with it I might add more clover because I think it's helping with me fertilizing it so seldomly as it adds nitrogen I heard... but yeah great guide just wish you would have some reccomdation on vegan alternative for some of your fertilizer recomdations and or at least urea-free. But yeah great guide and if someone else is on the fence go for it start some citrus well worth the effort pretty low maintenance and that cheap tree turns into the expensive one as you keep it alive sometimes it's better than the expensive one because it's being more actively cared for than one at the store☘️🐠💕🌺🌴🌻🍋🍊

I lived in Oregon for 10 years and berries grow wild everywhere. I used to to go out to Sauvie Island near Portland and there was a field that a farmer had and he just huge Blackberry brambles as a wind break barrier around his field so we always stopped and picked berries. The farmer didn't cut or cultivate the berries in anyway so it was tough picking. But free !

I don't want to have a garden, I'm not concerned about feeding the soil. I just want to permanently stop weeds in places in my yard i don't have grass. Short of putting in cement. What can I do on a budget? I've tried putting down weed barrier products and rocks over it. They still get weed infested. help!!!

Now for my question! What’s the difference between 20-20-20, 10-10-10, 7-7-7, etc…. I get that it’s the strength but why break it down like that? Why not just sell 20-20-20 and cut it by 50% for 10-10-10? See where I’m going with that?? If that’s incorrect thought process.. could you enlighten me please?

I am lucky enough to have dragon fly's - just never knew how helpful they were - we did have a bad issue with stink bugs and the lantern flies - i got the bright idea to raise praying mantis collected eggs from around my property and bought some off the internet - hatched them out and kept them until their 2nd shed then it was warm enough to release - i had about a total of 2500 i released on my property and around my garden - i was the only one in my area that had zero lantern flys at my property and only seen one or two stink bugs that season - they did a fantastic job - i know many dont like the praying mantis but im telling you had it not been for them i wouldnt have had my garden - both my neighbors completely lost theirs - i had a full crop - i did raise one till she was full size and then let her lose in my garden so she could live out her time free (they only live a year) and when i would work in my garden she would come get on me and sit with me while i worked - she for a bug was super sweet and boy do they have an apatite ! just some food for thought for anyone that like them they are super helpful and did i mention i used zero pesticides - didnt need any my little army got the job done
